no one ever asks. they just come up to us and say "you guys remind me of touche amore".

i suppose it's all relative. for example, to me, all these raw punk/mysterious guys bands are totally indistinguishable from each other.

an observation about this whole 'skramz' thing.

Every time we play with bands that are more traditional hardcore a good amount of people come up to us and say "you guys remind me of touche amore". To the people who listen exclusively to traditional hardcore, does anything with screaming or discordant melodies just sound like Touche Amore? I'm con...

Re: Playing your first skramz gig

Mine was opening up for Comadre/Trainwreck/Black Kites at ABC No Rio. And then having a member of Neil Perry come up to my band and say that we sounded awesome. lord snow
itto
minaret
republic of dreams

Re: "crowd killing..?"

This shit happens in New Jersey all the time at those dumb tough guy shows. I was in a band for a little while that would get asked to play those shows and it was usually a pretty terrible experience. The other thing these boys like to do is jump on merch tables, kick all the merch off and then jump...

Interesting to see how much of a following that this particular style of music had at one point.

Re: I have dreams

Shit sounds dated. Suck it. :D For real though, I would agree with Mike Van B, in that I think it sounds dated in the way that some music just captures a certain time period and represents it to the fullest. This isn't a bad thing, it just means I would listen to it purely for nostalgia rather than ...
