I see what you are getting at, but still, I can't agree with you. The list of bands I wrote down is the perfect example how many "unique" sounds there are, all those bands adding something different and not being a copy of an older band. Don't want to choke this topic, if you want we can carry over ...

It works? To what end? That is quite pointless. You can basically take that categorization and apply it to any genre of music.

I'm not mad, I'm just waiting for you to give some arguments for your theory which I find...not so correct. You obviously didn't delve enough into the European screamo scene beyond the most "popular" bands.

My girlfriend and I got hooked up thanks to a Daitro show. Nuff said.

Mihai Edrisch is in my top 3 bands, took a bit time to "study" their tunes. Don't know which album you listened to more, but "L' Un Sans L' Autre" is generally quite darker then their other album.
