if you run the super eclectic test, you will get a eclectic score, which sort of determines how diverse your musical preferences are. this is fun enough in itself. but it also produces a list of artists which in some way are what should be your ideal artists.

the test takes the top fifty artists in your library, and searches for the twenty most similar artists of each of these artists. the more unique artists you have, the more diverse your musical taste is - in theory. and the more occurrences an artist has, the more you should - in theory still - be inclined to like it.

I am such a sucker for these sort of threads. here is my list.

the list is fairly accurate. I'm obviously missing a few bands, and some of those aren't really bands I listen to all that often. but it's pretty good. if I was deserted on an island far, far away, I'd definitely want a compilation consisting out of these bands there. so ok, now it's your turn!
