The Kinsellas never really appealed to me in their various incarnations.

Re: Indie
I like the bands that listen to them more than the bands they were actually in. I don't know, maybe the aversion towards the Kinsellas is rooted in not really liking Cap'n Jazz the first time I heard em. They're okay for what they do, I suppose. Just not my cup of tea.winstonberg wrote:really? i legit love every single one of their bands even though they all sound the same. except for zookeeper, that shit sucks imo.loveinathens wrote:The Kinsellas never really appealed to me in their various incarnations.

They sound great but I couldn't really get into them much. I guess I can't be really objective about it. Die hipsters.loveinathens wrote:Amazing band, pretty elitist tho as far as I've heard. I have most of their stuff, willing to blow a shitload of money getting their actual releases but the dudes never reply and never approve shit unless you're from Europe and have at least two umlauts on your name or something. Still love the music tho.kabnlerlfkj wrote:Ya ever heard of Moscow Olympics. I think they were from the Phillipines.loveinathens wrote:Let's talk about indie rock, indie pop, twee, post-punk, post-punk revival, shoegazing, dreampop et al. Most of the skramo kids I've spoken to tend to lean towards liking more folk-y American indie stuff apart from anything that has a Kinsella in it. I wasn't one of those kids. Over that long patch of inactivity from the local punk scene, I got into shoegazing and indie pop. I was just wondering if anyone else is into stuff like 4AD, Creation or Sarah Records.
Also, Vampire Weekend. Ha.

Seriously, if you like both American Football and Vampire Weekend, I'd find it terribly hard to take you seriously. Oh and Moscow Olympics are immaculate.iKichigai wrote:
