well they DEFINITELY use emperor cabs because they have that shit posted everywhere.. one of the guys uses a twin reverb combo through a cab. the bass player has like two fridges by the looks of it.

Ed uses an Ampeg V4

Bobby uses a Sunn concert bass head and Sunn slave, no acoustic stuff.

Dan's I think is actually custom built...but it says SCIENCE on it, if that's an actual company.

Ed and Dan both use an Emperor 4x12 and 2x12
Bobby uses an Emperor 6x10 and 2x15

saw them at the weirdest show in Decatur, IL (hasn't been a show there in 3 years). Talked to them about getting in touch for a house show next time they're near and Bobby sounded so stoked over it. Just saw they're playing bar in my city in a few weeks... :|

You really expect him to remember 2-3 years later that someone in a tiny town wants to hold a house show?

These guys are my favorite band and some of my best friends. They were the first band I ever saw play in a basement and they changed the way I looked at music. I've driven all over the Midwest to see them and I'm never let down. They played in my basement in August. Bobby, Ed, Dan, and Nick are some of the nicest and most appreciative people I have ever met. They are the biggest influence and inspiration for me and my music, whether it be sound, ethic, or just who I am as a person. Bobby is going to help me design a tattoo of the line "take reign and strive, we hold you close, our years grow long, our patience short" from Backseat Crew.

Sorry if that makes me lame.

kind of impressive live, but, i'm not real into it for the most part. the whole singalong/clapping/crowdsurfing thing is not for me

the vocals kind of rub me the wrong way. also, kind of a silly thing, but i'm not huge on diy bands with light shows.

yeah man the light show thing is pretty annoying i like a nice soft intimate light, gets the mood set.
