This is why I fucking hate this band. They built up this ridiculous "cred" myth that never happened.

That show happened in Geoff's basement, with Carlisle and Saetia.

i know Pete has a lot to say on the Geoff cred argument....Can you spill the beans on this?

From what I believe Geoff liked the music and helped at some of the shows....but he/thursday wasn't very ridiculous in supporting the new brunswick diy scene....Geoff just lived at a house where shows were put on, like almost everyone else in new brunswick.

i moved to new brunswick in 1998. geoff lived across town from me and we became friends through going to shows. that year, geoff booked my band twice at his house (the second time being our last show that was posted earlier in this thread) and he did shows pretty much non stop that year. his other roomate, clay, did some shows there too as well, along with some other people in town who used the basement for a show once in a while. it was probably the most active house at that time. by 1999 i wanted to move out of the house i was in, so geoff asked me to move in with him. we did shows that year at the house very regularly. thursday played quite a few them, as did my band and all of our friends bands at the time. geoff was a very messy roomate but a very nice person. when i see him these days he's always super down to earth and still pretty much the same person i knew back then, just with same crazy life experiences under his belt.

That's one of the first few songs I learned when I just started playing the bass. :(

"let's make a whiny band with elements of space rock" is never not a good formula, imo. and that's all i'll say about thursday.
