yes. this face. matt davis was in the vida blue and ten grand and died of a brain aneurysm. RIP. his brother daniel was in ricky fitts and is currently in bands like muscle worship and horse weapons.

vidablue/ten grand are one of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion and never see enough love.
Couldn't agree more. I have been on a HUGE vidablue/ten grand kick as of late. I never got to see them live because I was too young. But, I have been finding all of these old videos of their sets and been listening to stories from people that were in bands with Matt. His stuff is the greatest. Though, I have to say, as much as I love Ten Grand (and boy do I love them) I actually kind of like Matt's other band Brazil a bit better!

Oh yeah. I listen to that a ridiculous amount. Some of the most heartfelt music I have ever heard. My buddy was just telling me about him doing live shows as Let's Drown Each Other and everyone in the room would just be tearing up and crying because he would just put so much of himself into those sets and would just break down.

I'm in a band with the old drummer from Brazil and he has a bunch of unreleased Brazil practice demos and stuff. I'm going to try to get a hold of it and throw it up online.

Brazil is good and fine and dandy but you're fucked in the head if you think it even comes close to touching the greatness that is This Is The Way To Rule.

Nah. I definitely think Ten Grand's music is better. I just like Brazil's music (only the tiniest bit) more personally. I just listened to it a ton at points in my life when it mattered the most, y'know? This Is The Way To Rule will forever be my favorite Matt Davis record. 10/10 - Forever and always.

I like This Is.. better, but Comprehensive List and Our Miracle Point of Contact are not at all far behind. It is all so good and I like it so much that i feel bad for comparing and picking favorites!
