sweet label that put out records by song of zarathustra, khayembii communique, infinty dive, book of dead names and a bunch more over 10 years ago is back. they're putting out a couple new releases including a new book of dead names lp.

uhhh...I wasn't around back 10 years ago, buuuuuut the dude who ran this label ripped off a ton of fucking kids back in day. There was a massive thread on vlv about all this earlier this year.

I haven't been into this kind of music for going on five years now and even I've heard stories about the guy who ran this being a shitty dude.

a guy who runs a skramz label ripped a bunch of people off........unimaginable. :D


for real though, flakiness seems to be an inherent part of the majority of labels dealing in this particular genre of music.

True. You just have to be vigilant when dealing with certain people/labels/bands. Reputation is everything and if you do your research, you can find out who's good and bad. I understand that nobody's perfect, but some of the shit I've seen bad labels do and get away is unbelievably ridiculous. It's beyond screamo labels too haha

i really don't think ripping people off is exclusive to emo/screamo. that's just a phenomenon of unaccountable DIY. just as much of it happens within the youth crew hardcore music networks and maybe even more so due to a more active trading community.
