Changes happening in Kochi

Post by erinn »

Kochi is evolving every year. It is evident in the number of developmental projects it is undertaking. Projects like Kochi Metro, second phase of Infopark, Kochi refinery expansion and Petronet LNG Terminal are sure to put kochi on the world map. As per the industry sources, the new projects that are lining up in Kochi are five times more than what it is currently in the city. Among the major ones is the Kochi metro project, which is pacing up to completion. The arrival of the kochi metro is a harbinger to a rise in property prices in areas located near to the metro. The first phase of the Metro Project has sanctioned 22 stations. This has led to the appreciation of the property prices in areas around 500 meters from these stations. Kochi metro would mean better mobility for the people residing in Kochi. As the city is already well connected through sea, air and rail, the Metro rail development significantly adds to the city’s attractiveness as an option for living. The property prices, as it is reported, has already risen by 30% in areas where the Metro project has commenced. This city is sure to see an upward trend in the recent years. Investors from across the country are coming forward to invest big amounts in the city. NRIs were always eyeing the city to invest in villas in kerala because of its scenic beauty together with its well planned infrastructure. Kochi is seeing an influx of builders over the years. All the national builders have set up offices in the state. This gives it the opportunity to house many stylish, ecological and contemporary lifestyle apartments, villas and flats.
