I've been looking around at the new skram lately on spotify, bandcamp, soundcloud, etc and the vast majority of what I find has like... just yelling or loud talking to singing. Its pretty strange. This stuff is fine I guess but Ive listened to dozens of bands lately and 90% of it is this way.
Who are some new bands with high pitched or weird screaming/shrieking? Some example would be The Spirit of Versailles, In Loving Memory, Danse Macabre, Cowboys Became Folk Heroes, Love Lost But Not Forgotten, Vincent Black Shadow, Jeromes Dream, My Precious
Also new bands with girl vocals since they are generally higher pitched as well.
PLEASE HELP!
Also, since it is related, does anyone know why so much new emo music is this way? I know I havent listened to everything thats out lately but things did not seem to be so cookie-cutter in the past. All of these bands sound like they are the same band playing the same song.

The midwest is still full of shriekers...
Gas Up Yr Hearse
The Truth About Dreaming
Yusuke
Anne Hero
Outside the midwest there's...
Waller
Amygdala
Nayru
Under A Sky So Blue
I've released all these bands and am releasing one you listed...

There's more out there, but these are the bands that are playing their instruments and doing their vocals the cmhwak way

I only know a few screamo bands today with the raspy vocals and they are Father Figure and Innards.I know mostly old bands like Frail, TSOV, Jeromes Dream, Phasma Phasmatis.Anomie was a really good screamo band from France back in the mid/late 90s with a female vocalist. The guitar player of the band posted a old video of them playing a show and commented on the video talking about the new emo/screamo bands today.

edit: I just realised this isn't new screamo any more. I guess I'm old. sorry.

lmao, my buddy reminded me of this "band" that i did vocals in last year. we only recorded these two songs and the recordings are pretty bad, so i apologize for that
http://trepanningmi.bandcamp.com/
i think the songs were recorded in different takes, thus resulting in a different sound for each one.
but my vocals were pretty high and shreiky.
