malady and transistor transistor don't sound screamo at all. both amazing bands. transistor transistor also broke up i heard. sucks.

I haven't heard Malady but Transistor Transistor is definitely what I would call a screamo band. they play some form of emo music and have screamed vocals.

i was in some other bands besides these four, but i think these four are probably the most baffling to me in terms of people calling them "screamo".

yeah, i think that is strange, specifically since people would always tell me that tsws sounded like botch and coalesce. also, many people would tell me the assistant sounded like technical metal. i think those descriptions are probably more accurate, though i'm not really a fan of tech metal or coalesce.
