Damn 1000s of NY grindcore, y'alls grind scene must be epic with that many band being active there.
Seriously though please post links to grindcore bands from NY that sound like Iron Lung, I love Iron Lung and would love to hear some other bands playing the same style as them. I'm guessing you're just a LIAR though.

Everyone I know loves Iron Lung and they literally sound like every other grindcore band here in New York.

Maybe Im just sick of Grindcore/Power Violence since its the same thing all the time. Fast song/Fast Song/Slow dirge/Fast Song all with the same three chords.

Please send me some links, I would love to hear another band that sounds like Iron Lung.

I would compare Iron Lung to a band like Swans (Filth & Cop era) quicker than I would to some grindcore band from NY.

I would compare Iron Lung to a band like Swans (Filth & Cop era) quicker than I would to some grindcore band from NY. They bring an industrial element into hardcore unlike just about any other band playing music right now. Also if you paid more attention to Iron Lung you would notice the guitarist uses a whole bunch of different chords I know for sure he uses flattened 5ths which is a chord most hardcore and PV band don't use to much of.

Also you gotta be kidding me on the all PV and grind sounds the same. Man is The Bastard, the pioneers of PV don't sound like any other bands. and Eric Woods of MITB doesn't play "the same three chords" he is an insanely innovative and technically proficient musician.

Not to be THAT GUY, but technically it's a diminished 5th because it's a perfect interval, brah. Also I think that every HxC band uses diminished intervals.
