Re: Touche Amore
Dawg don't pin that on me. I never said teenagers were dumb. I also never said anything about people who post on the B9 board. I said that Touché Amore sounds like B9 crap, as in music released by the record label B9 (Bridge 9 records). I also said that teenagers eat that shit up. What I meant by that statement was that teenagers like stuff released by B9, and thus through the communicative property and my previous remark about my perception of Touche Amore's correlation to B9, that teenagers also like Touche Amore.phoenix_crush wrote:lol seriously? I didn't mean everyone on B9 is retarded, just one of the posts before me said that Touche Amore seems like something dumb teenagers on B9 would listen to and I was saying I am not one of those people, but I like them.
I'm never gonna call anyone dumb for being in a certain age group or liking a specific type of music, even If that style of music doesn't suit my taste.
You're the only one that related People who post on B9 to retards. Erase the R word Dawg

Ah, that was a misunderstanding on my part then. By "B9 crap" I assumed you meant it was stuff that would be loved on the B9 board, which, in my experience, has a lot of dumb people on it.

Lol at this becoming a discussion about the B9 board. Never been big on this band, but they were cool at the Envy show. Better than And So I Watch You From Afar, at any rate.

Re: Touche Amore
their demo was trash, their split with la dispute is pretty good (those are the only la dispute songs i've heard that i can get into) and some of their newer stuff that i've heard wasn't bad.
i've looked at b9 once and never again.

Re: Touche Amore
I'm totally done with hating on this band. I've accepted that somewhere along the lines someone had misconstrued the band's aesthetic as a representation of what modern screamo looks, sounds, and feels like, and that this band belongs to a niche completely separate from our socially constructed "screamo community." What I don't understand is why people provide such hesitant apologetics to why this band is good. It seems like most people on this board understand that Touche Amore has, intentionally or unintentionally, misappropriated certain elements of screamo, yet still argue that while this band "sucks," they still put on a "good" live show and therefore deserve to be recognized as legitimate. Maybe I'm just bitter, but, like I said, I'm done shitting on this band and would prefer to turn the blind eye to this band and forget they exist.
I just hope that picture of Touche Amore's vocalist with a Saetia shirt was photoshopped or that he does not actually own that shirt...

Re: Touche Amore
Why do you care which shirt he owns? Are people in non-screamo bands not allowed to wear screamo shirts? He owns/used to own a bunch of skramz shirts. He was selling some on ebay recently.exactly/\nothing wrote:I'm totally done with hating on this band.
