I wanna let y'all know I'm not ashamed to like any music, but here is a list of bands that would raise eyebrows or get a "you seriously like that!?!?!?" from people around me. My list is full of music I really truly enjoy, and not on an ironic level or what ev.

also: i like some cher songs, and i fucking LOVE hall & oates, chicago, and tears for fears. and a wide plethora of "new" country. and a lot of easycore. i get considerably less elitist with each passing day, i think.

Erasure is amazing. Vince Clark is the instrumentalist/mastermind in the band and was the mastermind behind Yaz and Depeche Mode before he quit those bands to form Erasure. So needless to say they are one of the best synth-pop bands of the 80's and 90s's

I can't imagine feeling shame for anything I listen to. Like I can't see myself alone in my car or in my apartment listening to anything and imagining someone there with me and feeling the need to deny liking it for fear of shame. And I listen to a lot of stuff I assume most people on here would find shameful. Mostly dance music (especially freestyle and Italodisco), late 70s through mid 80s pop/rock, new jack swing, and so on and so forth.
