I wasn't gonna post because I'm pretty behind when it comes to music from this year. I've been mostly jamming old school stuff I overlooked, but your post reminded me that Daido Loori EP came out this year and fuck was it ever good. It's simultaneously heavy and subdued, and the vocalists are both excellent.
