Always appreesh for French emo/screamo!

Don't know if it was clarified, singer of Gantz on their first release was the dude who now sings in Daitro.
Also, Aghast is a pretty sweet band.
And my new favorite, Theme of Laura (dload and review on my blog), dudes have a lot of potential!

I love aussitot mort. So much. Though I don't think they fit the "screamo" bill anymore.

Hehe a friend reminded me of a band I completely forgot about. "The Apollo Program"...pre-Aussitot Mort.

TRUTH: Amanda Woodward are really something special. Chat about French bands other than AW, Aussitot & Hyacinths (french I think?!) is plain name dropping, cos there's nothing else as remarkable as that. There was no French sound, other than the same euro revival that polluted the whole EU circa 2001.

Don't know if I understood you correct, but.....Euro polluted? There is more variation in European skramz per country than anywhere else in the world. And there is pretty much more to French screamo than just those few bands you mentioned.

Anomie are still awesome, I ain't giving up on that. As for the whole euro pollution thing, I am actually comparing french, screamo and swedish right now.

I don't think I could name 10 good euroskreemo bands off the top of my head. The EU seemed to swing between chaotic average skreemo (think A Fine Boat...) and more melodic stuff a la Raein. There wasn't too much middle ground as far as I can see. La Quiete excited everyone when they kicked off. Amanda Woodward might be the only truly original euroskreemo band. My pick of the bunch would be Shikari, but I dunno if they really count as 'screamo'... more lumped together with the music scene.
I know I'm being pretty neg but check it: list different skreemo 'sounds' that are far enough apart to count as individual sounds (in the same way my a fine boat/raein boundaries work). I'd be surprised if it came out with any more than those two. Please can we not talk about 'post rock screamo' though, its a waste of time.

Suis La Lune
Anemone
Daitro
Gantz
Belle Epoque
Mihai Edrisch
June Paik
Battle of Wolf 359
Noisy Sins of the Insect
The Black Heart Rebellion (despite you don't want to talk about prock/screamo, it is a huge branch of the genre)
Shikari (bit if you don't want to count them, then Danse Macabre, Louis Cyphre)
Adorno
Me and Goliath
Children of Fall
Isaiah

All these have different sound compared to each other and these are just from the top of my head.
Same question for you, regarding whichever continent you consider the most diverse.

Suchi Rukara are pretty unique, IMHO. From Portugal. Quiritatio's sound also doesn't remind me of anybody else from Europe.
