I live in Buffalo, so I'm right near Rochester. There are definitely a lot of tough-guy punk rock bands that all sound exactly the same. It would be cool to see some screamo bands start emerging around here too.
This is kind off-topic but the title reminds me, does anyone know about a screamo compilation called 'suburban skramz' that had an I Hate Myself song on it? I remember hearing about it, but can't seem to find out much about it now.
