The Neil Perry 5" is a test press for a 5" picture disc Blood of the Young was going to put out. They pressed 100 tests and never got any further than that. Those three songs ended up on the the split with Kaospilot that Level-Plane put out.

Also I think there are two different Jeromes Dream demos? I could mistaken.

Not quite. If memory serves me correctly, it wasn't ever supposed to be a picture disc, just a regular record. They're all yellow and there's less than 100 (80 or 90, my memory on this stuff isn't what it used to be).

This record was actually a legend for years. Rumor had it that they were made, but BOTY guy (forgot his name) just ran off with the label's money and dropped off the face of the Earth, and they were stashed in an attic somewhere. It was around so long people actually doubted if it was real or just and urban legend. Eventually the urban legend folks became the dominant camp. Years and years later, some guy comes on VLV and says he has a box of Neil Perry 5"s he found in an attic, and used to help out at BOTY and that's how he got them. Sold them all over one weekend and that was that.

Just scored the red one on eBay today, which completes my collection. :D
Well... I suppose I can still look for the test of this. :|
I wish I got on brizz's sale just a LITTLE bit faster... :x
Silly how each one was progressively cheaper for me. I splurged to get my first copy because everytime I ever tried before, I got outbid and lost. PROBABLY shouldn't have spent so much for it, but hell... now that I have the set, I dont care!
"It's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!"
Check out my collection. http://www.deadformat.net/tradelist/ryanmccauley38

$30 for the rarest version is an insane good deal imo.

So wait, let me get this straight, just because I've never seen one irl. Do you drop the needle on the outside and let it move in with the grooves for one band, and start from the middle and it moves toward the outside for the other?

You drop it in the middle for both. It depends on where you drop it.

I'm just going by what I've heard and what it says on the cover of 5". Too lazy to take a picture of my copy.

But you pretty much paraphrased what BOTY released, although, I like your epic phantom 5" story telling more. What it comes down to is there aren't many copies of this, but the songs are available on another 7".
