While we're on the topic of sass and all things early 2000s skram, what the hell was skylab like? I've heard SO many stories about people getting ripped off very badly. Not sure what legacy it has if this is the case.

Yeah, people got ripped off, but people got some good deals too. I would say most of the rip offs were due to most record collectors being borderline fuck ups rather than any deliberate scam, but that probably happened too. This was back when you sent money orders (or cash if you were bold) through the mail for most transactions.

I always liked the look of that site. The skylab messageboard was entertaining sometimes for the fights and all that. The idea of searchable tradelists was great. It was just a cool site for the time.
