mononoke and totoro are the best ghibli imho, also cowboy bebop is probably one of the best works in any medium I've ever seen. ninja scroll is super legit.

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY. like srsly makise kurisu is the most perfect being ever. also warning you might cry around ep 10 or 12, don't remember which one shit gets real in, but you'll know it when you see it.

I honestly hated the fuqq out of it for the first episode, craziest characters. I'm on episode 5 right now and I am digging how it's developing.

I'm watching the Persona 4 anime as it's coming out but it's exactly the same as the game so it isn't that interesting.

ergo proxy is legit, really nice use of cg, also the characters were just good. if you want, I can find some good recs for ya that might ease you back into the game. gimme your taste in movies, tv shows, books and shit like that, or just what you like in a story in general, and I'll see if I can figure summin out for ya. I thought I grew out of it til a year and a halfish ago when I started watching a bit here and there again, then got in full on and realized that I probably ain't gettin out for a looooooong time

yeah i got back into anime like 2-3 years ago for a while and then just sorta fell off again. There's plenty of anime that i dig, like Big O, Cowboy Bebop, and Case Closed. but like anytime i try to get into a new one, i just get bored. Current shows i've been watching include Wilfred, The Walking Dead, Weeds, Dexter and It's Always Sunny. I just need anime with either a REALLY ENGAGING story, or next to no story at all (i.e. Case Closed)

also anime adaptations of jrpgs that i like, such as Tales and Disgaea. Might check out the Persona anime, since i never bothered with the game.
