I should've known but I recently went to see raein and loma play at the che. Raein played well, but the crowd was fucking horrible, all the 12 year olds were at the front waiting for tigersuit, and once they played it all these kids freaked out, I had to leave.

Re: Worst Show/s
Most shows I've been to have been at least somewhat pleasant experiences.
Worst show I've been to, bar none, was Cynic on their tour commemorating the 20th anniversary of Focus. The venue was awful, sound was terrible, and it was just BORING. Weird because I saw them with Meshuggah a couple years before and they were amazing. Guess it depends on set and setting.

If we're also talking about things outside of the actual performances that have made or broken a show, my worst experience was a very strange woman at my friend's first show he put on. It was all locals, and she was dating someone in one of the bands (she is not involved in the hardcore or skram scenes in any way, I've never seen her before or after), and I was trying to keep the young punks who were moshing a little too hard away from my friend's band's merch table.
She was at the table beside it, and at one point a few of the kids hit me unexpectedly and I pushed the table. It wasn't anything bad so I turned around. Out of nowhere a half empty 40 of Olde English bounces off my shoulder and smashes all over the floor in front of Danny, a friend and vocalist for another one of the bands. The girl yelled at me for "shoving the table into her."
It was incredibly disheartening because I would never do something like that on purpose. I was upset that she would try to glass me before even confronting me about it. As soon as she saw me talking with the promoters, who I knew, she refused to take responsibility. It was crummy, but whatever. People are weird.

Re: Worst Show/s
Friend wanted me to see his band play, dropped the 10$ even though I've never heard of the other 3 bands playing. Traveled an hour to get there, saw my friend's band up first. Played to a crowd that consisted of me and the drummer's girlfriend. The next band was awful, literally had no clue what they were doing and were total dicks after the set. Other two bands decided not to show up (I'm assuming because they heard no one came out to listen?).
don't sweat my skram

Raein definitely played way better than Loma. The crowd for both were awful, so bad that I don't want to see loma again lolmp143 wrote:I should've known but I recently went to see raein and loma play at the che. Would you happen to remember when/where this was? I'm working with someone on putting together a list of shows they played.ifp wrote: mineral

I went to see Whirr (shoegaze with ladispute kid fans) only to support my buddie's band who were playing the same show. Long story short, i left annoyed and with a headache after watching Whirr and the shitty band before them play nothing but noise and feedback for an hour and a half while hearing little to no vocals. Granted whirr sounds decent in recordings but npy a fan of their live act.
