I marathoned Angel Beats last night. omg. so very many feels. Like overall it was decent and had a very uplifting message, however it didn't have to toggle all my emo switches every 5 seconds. Anyone else watched this series? i would recommend it if you like emotional rollercoaster rides. I mean at points it feels a little contrived and but it doesn't really detract from entertainment value. DO NOT PROCEED if you don't like cheesy j-pop.

Haha, 5 Centimetres Per Second was very very very 'skram'. I also saw Voices of a Distant Star but wasn't really that into the art tbh.

the skies in shinkai movies are the best. and that scene in Voices where her robot is standing in the rain........
Mamoru Hosoda also makes some pretty entertaining movies. Girl who leapt through time is pretty emo and Summer Wars (currently watching) is trippy as fuqqqqqqq. Pure awesomeness. His films really have a great art style. Probably my favorite in terms of anime.
nothing beats the skies in shinkai films though. nothing.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is easily one of my favourite movies, but I still can't forget how terrible that crying scene was.
