Early 2000 metalcore

Post by josephturner »

I know now metalcore is a joke but anyone remember all the good bands like 7A7P, Rifles At Recess, Prayer For Cleansing, Dead Blue Sky, From Here On, Cast From Eden and a ton of others?
Anyone else love this era? I will always love all these bands no matter what, I wish shit was still like this I miss it.

Yeah but back then breakdowns weren't near as over used and they didn't do that annoying one fret slow breakdown shit that all those deathcore bands do.

And believe me I saw my share of metalcore back in the day, around 2004-2005 it started to sour and bands stopped trying it sucked :(

Both bands ruled so yes.
Even though my favorite style is that melodic bm inspired stuff like PFC and Dead Blue Sky.
Hopesfall used to be so good, I miss seeing that band.

I'd have to give it up to Shai Hulud too, though. Eden Maine is pretty boss. Much as I'd hate to admit it but I used to think OLD Eighteen Visions was pretty good. Everything prior to Obsession. Mid-era Zao is okay, Christian band stigma aside. Any love for Candiria?

gotta give BIG UPS to 7a7p especially jhazmynes lullaby.... racetraitor killed it too

Check out a band from san francisco called BENEATH THE ASHES, they later went on to do embrace the end..GOOD metalcore

I HATE all the deathcore/"metalcore" bands that are out now, i'm on warped tour and i see it everyday i cant believe it!

YES Beneath The Ashes ruled.
Jhazamyne's Lullaby was perfect from start to finish, 7A7P has to be one of my favorites.
