does anyone know if they are still together/ touring? i know jp is in about 50 other active bands but i haven't heard of any activity from these guys lately

i recently bought one of their records and it got me thinking about them. they better not be done, i never got to see them live and i've only ever heard awesome things about their shows.

I don't think they're done.
JP is doing a bunch of krud, and I'm pretty sure that Gabe the drummer is still playing in this band Rat Eyes.

It's probably just one of those things where they tour when they feel like it.

There was a period of time, from say 2002-2004, where literally every town a touring band would play had some douchebags in Locust cover/tribute band. Their live shows from this time consisted primarily of people who were in these bands, people who wish they were, and their girlfriends. You didn't miss much.

It is entirely possible that before that their lives shows were great. I have no idea what their shows were like before they had the masks. Did they play shows outside of California before that happened?
