So I've been living in Washington State for the past two years for school. Now that I've got spotify I've been thinking about the scramz glory days again and the aborted San Jose Screamo scene that lasted all of 2 minutes before it split into nu-metal or psychedelic rock.

I found myself thinking about starting a band again here in Olympia but the only thing that anyone ever wants to play in is k-records lo-fi indie sleaterkinney/mirah cover bands.

It made me wonder if there were ever any emo/screamo bands out of the Olympia/Seattle area, or if grunge killed everything in its wake up here?

I live in the NW and there really isn't a scene for screamo up here at all. it's really frustrating.

i was walking downtown today and some guy yelled "HEY NICE INDIAN SUMMER SHIRT FAGGOT"

new band with one of panthalassa's old guitarists, and possibly
jack senff from william bonney doing second vocals? oops, dont say anything.

(not implying that i should know everybody who listens to screamo in the pacific northwest, just curious)

there is logs and they are from olympia, also there's a newer band walter & perry they recently played with the reptilian and innards when they were in seattle.
