top. it had been a while since i updated the site, so i figured it was about time... sorting alphabetically and by date is working now. the "most recent" link on the left navigation works now, which is the same as going to view all and sorting by date.

going to start working on the requests section soon. in a few weeks i'll have all the time in the world to work on this, so expect more updates.

- request page is in. you can make requests, but cannot provide links to the requests yet (coming very soon!). kinda jumped the gun a little bit, but i wanted to get this up there.
- automatic search for existing links and requests is working! type something into the new link artist/album inputs, or the request inputs, and watch the magic happen.
- comments now show more than just how many seconds ago it was posted.
- tons of other little things that make the site better.

yeah i've been noticing mediafire isn't showing up on google searches anymore

just put in a huge update.

quick rundown of changes:

- the registration page is way fancier
- the nav bar on the left is now fixed if the window is large enough (same with the header, which has always been that way)
- autosearch on new links/requests works better
- the pages on search are displayed differently
- jquery-bbq caching is handled better, and does not cache the search pages anymore
- you can now search for tags that are under 4 characters! that means "emo" is now a searchable tag. however, if you search "math" it will pull up "math rock" ...will probably need to improve on that.
- if you type "tag:emo" into the search bar, it will do a tag search instead of a normal search. nice!
- etc etc etc

actually, hahah... i forgot to mention that the fill request thing is busted.

i started putting the code in for testing, but never finished it. i forgot to disable that button before throwing the updated files online. (whoops).

it will be working soon, though! i've been thinking about the best way to implement that. obviously it would need some sort of "check" before the request is deleted. the person who created the request would need to confirm that the link supplied is actually what it's supposed to be, and not some random troll/spam.

also...

- just added autolinking in the comments. don't have to do (url)google.com(/url) or whatever, typing in http://www.google.com will link it automatically (i see phpbb has a similar feature). URLs have to start with http://, https://, or www.
