Toronto Skramzbros

Post by Bentwreck »

Making this thread because there is a lot of great stuff coming out in this city, as well as the Greater Toronto Area (props to some of the Suburban homies). I wanted to make a thread on here compiling some of the best this city has to offer, so if there's anyone else from around here who wants to post something I missed (I'm sure I've missed tons), I want to know about it! I'm also including some not-so-skramz bands with members who are insanely influential to skramz. Thanks

FOXMOULDER: A Matt Far, featuring Matt Skrambach Moshigan Legend (also in emo trendsters DELO TRUDA and sick poop-punksters SPEARHEAD, Selvin "I mosh hard" Cunningham and Rohan "why must I cry" 50 Skramz legendary Pizza mans)

http://foxmoulder.bandcamp.com/

DELO TRUDA: They're basically from Toronto now. Not much new stuff available online, but here are links to a sick teaser and one of my favourite split releases ever (with the now defunct RAMON GRIS who later became THE YEAR IT BROKE)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7StvA2qqMvU

http://delotruda.bandcamp.com/album/vic ... -condition

TELL-TALE HEARTS: Ex-members of MARLA SINGER (who had one of da best d00ds on this here board), RAMON GRIS (siq Portrait worship), and a member of DELO TRUDA (when will the skramincest end?)

http://soundcloud.com/egink/tell-tale-h ... ald-glover

CREEPER (sludgemeat goodness)

http://fuckcreeper.bandcamp.com/album/exhaustion-7

There are tons more. Peace Be Still are also excellent, and we have the motherfucking jammers in Animal Faces too. But I'm in a rush and can't link 'em. We have a good scene going here and I can't wait until I get my lazy ass in a band to contribute more.

I'll come up with some more gems when i'm not dickered.

split 12" which ruled, 1 failed US tour. wizard dicks. darryl sucks. members of bandera.

We Were Former - http://www.myspace.com/wewereformer
super catchy super mathy emo, dudes from Soft Floors and Omaha

AKROID/AUTHORS/THE SMILE - http://www.myspace.com/gorgeousindustries
