screamo has been dead to me for a while because I quit caring at some point during the revival and stopped relating to the melodrama of it and became kind of cold a lot stronger person. That said, I never stopped liking it. I just felt like I hard heard enough of it at some point and was doing other things, definitely by 2015-16 I think.

Also I think for me, screamo has been dead for a long time because it was dead for years before the revival when everyone used the word for our music for glam rock and high school cliches. I enjoyed listening to it mostly by myself even among my friends who liked underground genres and could not stand it.

The revival of the scene and what not is... I'm not going to discourage anyone. I don't care though and have no interest in being a part of it. I'm sure there may be plenty of cool bands that are influenced by screamo moving forward, but overall, screamo belongs this way. This is the way I can look back on it and enjoy the throwback without being dragged into the snobbery of it.

But.... TLDR

Is the FTP server dead? Im trying to dig up an archive of bands from anywhere occurring mostly before 2012. There are so many bands I can't remember the names of it and want to find but am struggling to because I haven't listened to the music a lot in years.
