Re: List of Essential Screamo
Regardless, the full length by Portraits of Past should be much closer to #1.
Re: List of Essential Screamo
Yeah, the arrangement of this list could use some help.

someone's been to new jack town recently I see
Re: List of Essential Screamo
This is such a boring fucking list.
Mohinder, Angel Hair, Swing Kids, Antioch Arrow, Uranus, etc.. Correct me if I'm wrong, but screamo didn't start in 1998.

Only 3 albums from the 90s (one of them being an emo album), no Jerome's Dream and picked the wrong Envy album. Hmmmmm
Re: List of Essential Screamo

Essential list.
Re: List of Essential Screamo
This is stupid and confined to a bunch of bands that are interchangable.
My opinion on essential bands to understand this genre .
Meandhimcallitus
Jeromes dream
Hassan I sabbah
Orchid
Daughters (all of their stuff)
Discordance axis
There's a ton more but I don't think that understanding skramz is just listening to a shitload of skramz bands that sound alike. There's a variation of the genre which is important to get in my opinion.
