Summer Plans?

Post by iKichigai »

Any of you guys have anything productive/whatever to do for summer?
I dunno if I can call mine "productive" but I've definitely lotsa stuff to keep me busy.

1. Don't die (just yet).
2. Visit the Philippines and hug my mother.
3. Hit the beach and go skim boarding 'cause I'm too much of a wuss to surf.
4. *Probably* write just a *few* (really, just a teeny bit, I promise) lesson plans.
5. Hang out a lot in my uni's campus since two of my band mates go there anyway and I kinda miss my old professors too.
6. Catch up with friends, old and new.
7. Play shows with my band. It's been quite a while. So ronery.
8. Get the right mindset on writing stuff for our full-length.
9. Finish recording the Caitlyn Bailey full-length. I swear I'll kill myself if we don't.
10. Get back into muay thai training, spar with a guy and kick him in the balls. It's been a while too.

Yeah, I believe/hope you have much more interesting lives than I do.

1)Also not dying
2)Write as much as I can(not going well)
3)Learn as much Japanese as I can with the more than helpful instructions of iKichigai-sensei
4)Read as much as I can(not going well either, still stuck on Blood Meridian)
5)Get out more often(not going well at all)
6)Neglecting all of the above in favor for anime and video games

But that's pretty much it. My guitar is gonna have to sit in its corner for a while longer.

Let's trade. I'm planning on learning French/Dutch/German. Whichever comes first.

Don't know German, my French is horrible for Belgian standards but I guess I can help with some basics. And I don't like Dutch, but it can be a pretty poetic language if you're the mushy type.

Dutch is your native language man. How can you NOT like Dutch? You're one strange Belgian. :|

My weeklong Summer vacation is over. So my plans are:
1. College
2. Re-download all of my music to my new Macbook.
3. Fly/road-trip back across the country.
4. Go to Six Flags.
5. Shows.

my plans for summer are the same as the rest of the year. i dont think summer has been a distinct part of my life since highschool. the only thing that really changes is that i start using the air conditioner instead of the heater. so, my plan is to use the AC although i have been doing that for probably the past 3 months. its been pretty hot.

I try not to use the AC...I'm kinda scared it will affect my voice in any way (maybe not, just being paranoid) since I'm preppin for recording. But I don't think it's necessary either...It's been raining here the entire week.

Summer started in Texas 2 months ago. I figure the point in summer when my house is unbarable without a/c is when summer truly has begun.
1. I've been jobless all summer and broke hopefully I can find a job.
2. Recording for my band Chest Pain
3. Swim at the lake alot
4. Write more music for my band For Want Of
5. Play lots of shows
