TOPSHELF RECORDS

Post by brianutatx »

Lets talk about this label.

I've had some email conversations with Kevin, who owns the label. He seemed like a real prick over email. I've never bought anything from the label, and I feel like for every band I like that is on the label there are 5 bands that I think are complete trash. What are your feelings about topshelf?

Basically the same as you. There are a few bands on there I like, but a lot of bands I really can't stand and the way it's run seems pretty shitty. 0/10 would not bang.

Never had a problem with them, sent me a kind note when a 2nd print I bought was substituted with a 3rd. Overall could have been worse

Okay label. There's a few good bands but a ton of shitty 2nd generation twinkly bands like you blew it, a great big pile of leaves etc.

I don't like the fanbase around this label especially the uber pc nerd twinkly kids who act like zach galifianakis

suis la lune, saddest landscape what to worry bout. but yet there's no reason to label stuff we're already caged nuff. you knw. why not do anything as we kan as sloppy as we want aslong as it has passion?
To envision a world without chains but recognize that we,
as individuals, can only chip away at the links.
One at a time, day by day.
To have the ability to wage quiet wars in our everyday lives,
and recognize the subtle victories when they happen....
