Nevermind the Bombings, Here's Your Six Figures

Post by tonyxvx »

New United Nations ep. It was described as "a spastic and violent four-song explosion that brings to mind the bygone days of the mid-1990's screamo sub-genre." I dunno about all of that, but for being such a popular album it's pretty good.
What's your opinion?

I don't think sounding well-produced takes away from a release sounding good, even for something like screamo. I really enjoyed United Nations from the start.

They actually sound decent, I don't know if it's the stigma of them being in their other/previous bands that leads so many people to dislike them. Might be due in part to their aesthetic and all as well. Whereas UN are no Loma Prieta, I'd rather listen to this than a fuckload of euroskram bands that all sound the same. I've always been partial to American sounding screamo anyways.
