if the art is bland it just makes me want to put the album down
I'm pretty much the same way. I often find that once I have album artwork attached to my mp3's, I enjoy the music much more. Some may find it a tad strange, but I think it might boil down to how artistic you are- at the very least, how you view art.

For the Daïtro Y cover I am pretty sure it represents a view of Lyon city and its two rivers (which they make reference of in the lyrics).

Just within one band, Suis La Lune went from kinda cool: Image
to really weird and trying way too hard: Image

Their music did that, too. Weird.
Also, Chris Simpson is the only person who can do whatever he wants as far as Comic Sans goes. Besides, all the rest of Mineral's art is cooooo0o0o0o0oo0l.

looks like a hella squashed comic sans to me.
regardless this album cover is nowhere near as good as the album itself. endserenading has much better cover art.

Might have to go on the opposite feeling here.
i feel like that water color painting is like sophomore at a bad art school quality, and its really obvious. It looks like someone would sell that painting at starbucks or something (not really knocking anyone that does that but its not really a place to proudly display your art)

that Barrow cover is pretty cool to me. Sure the bw image with no band name is a bit over done as of late but i think it reflects their music really well and I have to be honest, from a personal standpoint if I saw it at a record store (not knowing what it was) i would be inclined to pick it up and give it a listen because the artwork leaves so much to the imagination. But YA KNOW! :ugeek:
the devil just won't let go.
