What Damezumari proves is that jangly sounding riffy screamo can be done wonderfully. I really can't stand most of the bands that try and fail at making jangly screamo, but Damezumari shine above the rest. I'd recommend taking some time and enjoying some Damezumari songs this afternoon.
Here is my favorite song of theirs:

This is a band that represents a time when I was very excited about screamo and listening to them brings me back to those salad days.

These dudes are really solid, I think the reason it works is because they don't get overly sentimental like a lot of bands like this, and they make the janglyness sound good instead of just jerking their guitars off.

I 100% agree with this sentiment. Most jangly guitar jerk off wanna run with the big dogs but can't . Damezumari are the big dogs.thisguyisalright wrote:they make the janglyness sound good instead of just jerking their guitars off.

I don't even know how to deal with how funny these big dog posts are, I just realized that for the past 30 seconds my hands have involuntarily been up in a "the fuck is this" gesture.
