How do you get that sound as apposed to the JD kind of sound? Does Trei use distortion for his vocals?

I'm not saying this definitively because this is just how it works for me, but it's a balance between normal hardcore vocals and all out JD screaming and you kind of have to be good at both. The only reason I know how to do it is because when I was in the military I had to do a lot of powerful, controlled yelling and I just combine that with high pitched scramos. I think if you were to try to emulate someone in order to figure it out, you should go with pg.99 because their vocalists do a wide range from just straight up hardcore to all out skramz and it's easy to see how their voices change depending on what they're doing.

I found my skramz voice by singing along with the Jonbenet. I combined that with my more hardcore and crusty sound and voila
