How do I scream properly?

I have some songs that I think would work quite well as 90s screamo chaos misery jams, but I can't get my voice to do this. Any suggestions?

You need to have emotion behind it, simple as that.

So I waited until my mom went out and went into the garage and screamed my guts out. You're right, it works if you have emotion behind it. Unbeknownst to me, however, one of my friends showed up outside unexpectedly partway through and burst in with a water pistol (to give me a heart attack). He is of the opinion that my screaming needs some work, and I must say I agree, but I'm going to keep at it!

I've actually never heard that Seeing Means More song, it's really good. Who wrote that breakdown?

People are going to sound different. Basically, do what people on here have said and sound like you will/want.

This is usually the advice I give;

You know that feeling when your vocal chords shift into falsetto? Do that but right before actually hitting those high pitched notes, lock into that little pocket and push your voice hard. You should wind up with a very shrilly skram and after enough practice, you'll be able to change it around to the tone you want once comfortable
