Hard to find like minded skramz musicians

I live in Jacksonville Florida, all the kids here that I know either want to be In a hardcore or metal band or they wanna do some title fight esque twinkly emo bullshit. Why can't I find anyone who wants to start a screamo band with me ?? Fuck!

Where I was living it wouldn't have been too hard, pretty thriving scene, the issue would have been finding someone who is actually stoked on the kind of stuff I'm doing. Where I'm at now though shit would be impossible, literally no skramz here.

it's super hard. when i was in like eighth grade, and i was just getting into skram, i had some older friends who were already into it, so i kind of lucked out on starting a band, one which still is around today.
but i've always wanted to do other stuff and finding people who listen to more emo violencey stuff does not come easy. in metro detroit, there is literally so many wave kids its crazy. at the show i was supposed to play on saturday, there were like three kids in topshelf shirts. and it wasnt even a screamo show.
finding elitist screamo assholes to start a band with is hard.

Ive only played with one other person that actually liked skramz before they started playing with me. Just gotta talk to some other local area peeps and slowly get them to listen to this kind of music and then sucker them into jamming with you.

^^^Let's do it! It just sucks being playing in a band of a genre that you don't really like, I've been in a few hardcore bands only because I have to play music somehow or I'll go insane , but I'm never really into it honestly. Anyways pianos become the teeth are supposed to come here soon maybe that will draw some fellow skramz assholes out of the wood work probably not but it's wishful thinking
