I've heard that they just changed the name to Loma Prieta and then some members quit/joined, and the whole car crash was a gimmick.

if it's a gimmick, then that's really lame. but if someone spread the rumour that it was a gimmick - and it is in fact true, then that's even lamer.

one time in 2006 chris guest (by the way-where the fuck is he?!) saw that horr0r city band they were doing in oakland and they played "behind trees" the first show back after the drummer broke his arm. it was awesome. also the scariest walk from BART ever
