Another reason to be hipster in the Philippines: Mainstream music sucks. Badly. The top selling artist in this country is a fucking variety show host. Famous bands that were actually good make too much commercial jingles now. I don't care what you say, the mainstream scene here sucks balls.

bands fighting other bands seems very uncool... especially on the same "circuit" ... clearly they need to learn to share the sweet tang juices

but really, maybe you're critical of a band because you don't dig their sound/performance but why bother with the beef? you just comment to your friend your feelings in private but be nice to the band cuz you're both down for the same reasons right?

Here in Denver there is a shit ton of fights and bullshit surrounding the hardcore scene mostly due to a major riff between a handful of kids who listen to slightly varying types of hardcore booking shows in the same venue. It got really intense last November when weekend nachos came through. Many threats were made. Few were actually carried out. Bottom line it's stupid.
