Dude, flesh born rips. Their other projects are as good. They released as elesh norn and I think one of the kids used to be in eccotone. Also sin motivo and innards are from fw and they're pretty alright. Mostly not that active anymore but good... Boii Stuff and Golden Triangle in Denton are good and Bare Mountain out of North Dallas... Tho Bm is less skramo or whatever and more like.... Midwesty twinklegaze...

Off the top of my head, thisismenotthinkingofyou, Anzio, Déformer, sto cosi cosi, and i hate sex are all active and doing cool shit. Ephraim Huit, Annakarina, and Saintly Rows all broke up afaik, but they released some good shit last year. Other Masquerades and Ghost of a Dead Hummingbird aren't exactly screamo bands, but they both have screamo elements and released some incredible stuff last year. OM is like mathcore and GoaDH is like post-hardcore meets dream pop.

A lot of bands coming out right now are super disappointing. Very lo-fi recordings, very boring song structures, typical as fuck lyrics with very very over the top "skramz" vocals to top it all off. One band I don't find to be very good is i hate sex but i think they have potential to be cool or will split into different cool bands.
