STAR WARS were never about good cinema. the reason the first three films were good was the things that *weren't* in them; the Tolkien's frameless picture effect. unfortunately they ruined this with the next three. the six films as works of cinema are OK at best, with the latter three probably being slightly better. but the universe hinted at in the first three was great. but then the next three came out and tried explaining everything, and it turns out everything is really stupid and ridiculous. the by far best STAR WARS release was Knights of the Old Republic by Bioware.
I'm definitely going to watch this one though, who am I kidding. I mean, it's STAR WARS.
