just when I thought the wave was gonna crash. they had to go and start up again
thus begins a new era of tumblr quotes over pictures of dilapidated and burnt-out houses for tumblr queenz to post. most likely a 12" for everyone to destroy with their crosley turntables. 90% of convos regarding emo with girls will now be along the lines of "OMG teh nu amerikan football album is suh gud! I'm 100% emo!"
Do we know if it will be released on Flopshelf? or RFC?

Re: new american football
I don't think it's terrible - it doesn't quite have the same edge as the first stuff did but that was inevitable after 17 years.
I think the instrumental is a little plain and could have done with some more interesting rhythms from the percussion - but perhaps the other tracks will explore that sound a little more.
As someone who, after 10 years of keeping quiet, is only now opening up about suffering from gender dysphoria - the lyrics are kind of speaking to me emotionally - right now at least.
All in all I think the track is okay, I can only hope the other tracks improve on this.

As an old school AF fan since 2002 (before it got trendy in like 2008 or whenever it was) I thought it was pretty cool they released a new track. Didn't love the song but it definitely wasn't bad.
I mean I'm not claiming to be a diehard fan by any means but I got emo af in 2002 when I was 16 listening to never meant.
I might still check out the rest of the record.
Definitely not elite confirming it by any means but peaked my interest due to the novelty factor.

dads can't write/play emo generally
Re: new american football
Definitely exciting that there's new stuff, but I'm not super crazy about it. Kinda just reminds me of Owen with more instrumentation.
Re: new american football
didn't care for them at all ever. their music was always boring to me :p
