How do you get into screamo,emo, shit?

Listened to shitty Deathcore then to shitty grindcore, then my friend gave me some Bravo Fucking Bravo! and Circle Takes the Square. Shortly thereafter my girlfriend showed my the rest of the skramz lyfe and it's what I've been about since.

Quite weird, I'm really into Huggy Bear, and I bought one of their 7"s from eBay for about £1. The 7" in question was "Long Distance Lovers" which, aside from being some of the best HB material, was also recorded by Mat Anderson and released on Gravity. From there I got into Heroin, totally loved it but didnt know anyone who could handle that kind of stuff at the time, so they were my little secret for a few years, and I kinda forgot about them.
Later on when I started my band, I went in search of stuff that sounded like what I wanted to make. I'd already realised that I preferred my scream to my singing voice, so I went back and revisted Heroin. From there, all the Gravity bands, then Orchid, and eventually found bands like Makara and Jeromes Dream.

That's probably all tldr for you guys, but I dont care.

My sister had a bunch of emo cd's (Cap'n Jazz, The Promise Ring, Planes Mistaken for Stars, etc.)

As for screamo I lurked some music message board and they were talking about how good Hot Cross, Orchid, and CTtS were so I decided to check out the bands.

I have older cousins who always had music playing when I was around when I was little (Cap'n Jazz, Sunny Day, etc.)

I also got into Thursday and pretty much went from there.
