Wanted to see this movie. That good?

Also... I love romantic comedies and buddy flicks. The really shitty ones. And kid's movies.

I just watched Dear Zachary. It was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Don't look up what its about because spoilers will ruin it. Just watch it.

I'm a film specialist in university. I love film. I feel like I'm a pompous ass about it though (being in a theoretical/critical stream and all). Here are my favs:

Memento
2 or 3 Things I Know About Her
Shoot The Piano Player
Le Samourai
City Of God
Last Night
C.R.A.Z.Y.
Superbad
Knocked Up
Short Cuts
Vampyr
MAN BITES DOG
Fight Club
Se7en
Insomnia (Iceland)
Europa
Knife In The Water
The Ice Storm
Die Hard

There are way too many. I also love sitting back and watching things blow up. Speed is one of my favourite films for this reason.

EDIT: Everything Wes Anderson has done is brilliant. I mean, Rushmore is one of the best ever. Fucking Kite Flying Society, for fuck's sake :)

I love the movie "The Beach" it's one of my favorite movies of all times I've probably watched it 80 times or so. I own a VHS player specifically so I can watch the one VHS I own, The Beach. I once wrote a 30 page research paper on The Beach. If anyone wants to discuss the merit of this wonderful movie I would love to discuss it with you.

Other movies I'm passionate about include; The Jerk, Rushmore, Little Otik (and any other Jan Svankmejer films), Slacker, Waking Life, I Heart Huckabees, The People vs. Larry Flint ( and other Milos Forman films, Daisies, I like a bunch more too I have a broad interest in cinema but tend to lean towards films that use philosophical topics as a cornerstone for the plot and I love movies About espionage.

Completely random list, but all favorites:
Le pacte des loups
The Machinist
The Prestige
Ninth Gate
Insomnia
American Psycho
The Rules of Attraction
Fight Club
Moon
Secret Window

I hate it when someone asks me for my favorites, can't remember jack shit at the moment, must have forgotten half the names.
Didn't like Black Swan that much, despite the fact that I love Natalie. I don't know why, maybe I was expecting too much.

Finally watched Sakuran. There wasn't much in the storyline, I just liked the production and the archaic speech was kinda entertaining.
