yeah there was totally a thread just like this not too long ago
in middle school i was all about some metal, i heard about screamo on tv and was like wtf is this shit so i went on the internet and googled it and found a website with a bunch of screamo bands, i remember listening to hot cross, i hate myself, and pg. 99 and was like "eh its okay not awesome"
in 8th grade i saw modern life is war and was like wtf this rules so i started listening to hardcore, then in 9th grade i remembered screamo and wanted to listen to some of it so i was like "hey it aint half bad" then an older friend was like wtf your listening to raein be in my band so i was and i got more into it through that, then i got last.fm and went from there.
How do you get into screamo,emo, shit?

was listening to 80's hardcore and skateboarding alot, a skatepark friend told me to check out pg 99

But when I was like 13 I listened to early Rise Against, Strike Anywhere, etc. Lead to Melodic Hardcore. Then I got into Hot Cross around 14ish. Saw Comadre live. The rest is skram history.
It's also notable that around 14-15 I had a period where I listened to shit like xBISHOPx and Casey Jones constantly. Although I cannot fathom why.

i don't care if your band is called "the guys who fuck jake duvall's mother nightly and will probably bang his wife eventually band", if you sample happiness (or jon lovitz for that matter), you're a-ok with me.
