sometimes you have to push a little harder for something that seems trivial but the subtext of which is very important on a larger scale. maybe fag means something else to you, but it means something to the guy who gets beat to shit and to the assholes beating him calling him a fag as they do it. regardless of your ironic sensibilities or however you justify it, there are people using the same thing as REAL reasons for hating on people; that's a very uncool group to want to associate yourself with.
