Loma Prieta, The Reptilian, Jowls, Suffix, Polina, Pianos Become the Teeth (wtv), Punch, the Discord of a Forgotten Sketch, Native, Animal Faces, some other that I'm forgetting cause it's morning and I'm too tired too think.
Montreal has been pretty awesome this year for screamo.

the most bragworthy ones would have to be orchid, jerome's dream, ampere, yaphet kotto, off minor, yage, city of caterpillar (who i don't really actually like), hot cross (ditto), sinaloa, hiretsukan and plenty of other bands from the northeast no one probably cares about...

I only listed them cause most of the time people put them in that category even if they're far from it.
so yeah, whatever.

Local bands: Followed by 37 Seconds of Happiness, Via Fondo, Suis La Lune, If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?, Echo, Echo, Landscape!, Pesanteur, Amalthea, Atrophy of the Heart, Heart On My Sleeve (ex-Hope and the Failure) and it's not really trve skramz but i also saw Go! With Fourteen O back in the days.

Non-local: The Saddest Landscape, Pianos Become The Teeth, Touché Amoré, La Dispute, Le Pré Où Je Suis Mort, Petethepiratesquid, and yeah all of those aren't really trve skram either but nonetheless worth mentioning.

And if we're pretending I'm writing this one month into the future, I've also seen Circle Takes the Square.
