Thanks for posting the suggestions. I'll definitely be writing some more detailed reviews for my blog with some of those bands.

I think some of the best stuff these days is either German or German inspired.
German Stuff:
Republic of Dreams
Afterlife Kids http://afterlifekidsmosh.bandcamp.com/
Lentic Waters http://lenticwaters.bandcamp.com/
Fuck, Wolves!
Hungry Lungs http://hungrylungs.bandcamp.com/
Tsarweather (4/5 of Hungry Lungs) http://tsarweather.bandcamp.com/
Resurrectionists
Vyst http://vyst.bandcamp.com/
Throwers http://throwers.bandcamp.com/
Trainwreck http://trainwreck5.bandcamp.com/
Glasses http://glasseshc.bandcamp.com/
Black Everest http://blackeverest.bandcamp.com/
Rha. http://rhamusic.bandcamp.com/
German-esque stuff:
Grinding Halt http://sprookjeshof.bandcamp.com/
Eros + Massacre http://erosmassacreband.bandcamp.com/
Lich http://lich.bandcamp.com/
Tempest http://consume.forgediniron.ca/album/passages
I could go on, I love this stuff.
Other noteworthy bands:
Old Soul (already mentioned)
Tel Fyr http://telfyrcalgary.bandcamp.com/
Watcher http://wtchr.net/
Kaddish http://autumnjams.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-lp
Basically everything that React With Protest and IFB Records is a necessity these days for me, and at least half the stuff on Vendetta and Halo of Flies.
Have they released anything since they reformed? I have their old 10" and split 7" and they're both awesome.

I've heard of a few of these bands and I gotta say, I think Mahria is overrated for what they do. I see them being circle jerked all the time in skramz discussions and I just don't see what the hype is. Band is average as fuck with a great vocalist. I have hopes for their next release though. I'll check out the rest of these bands

Weird you say that, it is the instrumental section of this band that initially captured my interest in Mahria. Don't get me wrong the vocals are fantastic, but I feel like the rest of the band is amazing too. All in all they are one of my favorite hardcore/screamo bands happening right now.XingKing wrote: I don't see what the hype is. Band is average as fuck with a great vocalist.
Mahria
Ten Thousand Leagues
Capacities
Coma Regalia
Lord Snow
Holiness Church Of The Valley
Daido Loori
Loma Prieta
Are all pushing the limits on hardcore/screamo and all get thumbs up from me for making the new sound happen in 2013.
