Just wanna give props to Ulysses for being so diligent in maintaining this thread. As I said before I wouldn't consider myself a huge fan of anime but everything that he recommended that I've checked out has been gold.

D'aaw, thanks man! I don't know too many people IRL who love either da skram lyfe or chinese cartoons, so being able to talk about both of em in one place is awesome. Also they totally come hand-in-hand. I'm seriously glad to help!

Also, to those who wanna try out watching sakamichi no apollon, first make sure you have a media player that can play .mkv files (mpc-hc, vlc, etc), and then download or torrent the file from links from either of these sites http://www.animesenshi.com/sakamichi-no ... episode-1/ or http://www.animetake.com/sakamichi-no-apollon-01/

It's an airing show, so you'll hafta wait until thursday to watch new episodes. Watching airing shows is actually pretty fun, and the weekly format is how most shows are "supposed" to be seen, in a sense.The show itself airs on the noitaminA timeslot in japan on thursdays, which usually airs artsy, mature, DEEP, experimental kinda shows that break from the mold and are aimed at a older target audience, and almost every one of them is good with very few exceptions. Almost all shows that air in the timeslot are 11 episodes, with the exception being Guilty Crown, which was 22. Each anime season noitaminA airs 2 shows, and this Spring season its Sakamichi no Apollon and Tsuritama, the latter also being pretty experimental and really fun to watch. If you guys wanna try something different, try also watching Tsuritama (the links are to the show would be somewhere on the websites I linked to above). Maybe it up for a couple of episodes and see where it's gonna go, I'm thinkin it's gonna be good.

I have just now got a chance to download and watch 3 episodes of this. Fucking amazing.
