Underrated & Overrated Screamo/Hardcore/Whatever bands 2012

I think State Faults is very over-rated. Definitely entry level, diaper-play post-hardcore.

I think Gaza deserves some attention. I saw them with Full of Hell (who I liked) and Code Orange Kids (who I don't like at all). They've been solid their whole existence and put on a very good live show.

Underrated: Suffering Luna, White Wards, Milk Music, Sea of Shit
Overrated: Hoax, Crazy Spirit, Culo, ACxDC, Weekend Nachos, Nails

No they're not, they wrote a long well worded email to Alex Hughes of Hatred Surge about respecting ones right to play Wii Tennis. That sounds lame to me not ignorant.

overrated: The guy soomewhere in this post was totally right about every twinkle band in the last year (especially on topshelf) with the exception of Empire Empire.

Don't get me wrong I fucking LOVE Damezumari. That song "Triumphalism" by Damezumari is one of my favorite emo/screamo songs of all time.

weekend nachos has been overrated and overhyped since the beginning of their lame ass band. the only thing good they've ever done in my eyes is play a benefit show near detroit for my friend's dog shelter. sadly i think they made more money off their stupid fucking merch than the shelter did that night. fuck the world.

I'll have to say Duck Little Brother Duck is underrated.
And I hate saying that a specific band is overrated, but damn, The Saddest Landscape is so overrated.

I agree with State Faults being pretty overrated. I don't hate them but the only song I really like by them is the acoustic version of Vespers, and that's just because it sounds like sweet scene shit from five years ago.

As far as underrated bands, not from 2012 but I give no fucks, The Jonbenet is a band I've never even heard mentioned by anyone even though they fucking shred.
